Ophthalmic Camp

Blindness is a major concern of rural India. Most of the Indian population lives in rural areas where there is no accessibility for Eye care/treatment. The main cause of the blindness is cataract. In order to reduce blindness caused due to Cataract, a free Eye camp was organized by JSW Cement under Corporate Social Responsibility in collaboration with Shanthiram Medical College/General Hospital, Nandyal on 25-07-2015 at Bilakalagudur village. The camp was inaugurated by Shri. Sudarshan Reddy, Sarpanch of Bilakalaguduru. Ophthalmology specialists Dr. Shanthakumari and Dr.Jane C.Joy examined patients and given free medicines to the patients. The overview of the camp was as follows
