JSW Cement has contemplated a holistic, integrated and sustainable approach to cater to the needs of the communities. It has developed through a participatory approach at all levels. Stakeholders’ involvement, transparency and convergence have been used as essential tools during this process. The underpinning of all these efforts is to build a good rapport and trust- based relationships with nearby communities and other stakeholders such as Govt. & Non-Govt. Agencies. This relationship-building has helped in devising long term transformative programs across a range of intervention areas. To get better acceptance of the programs, JSW Cement has tried to prioritize the needs and started intervening in need-based projects by involving stakeholders strategically. These steps help the nearby communities to get adequate community resources, which in the end, will make them self-sufficient. Our activities are aligned to make them self-dependent and develop a sense of ownership of these projects for further maintenance, which makes the project sustainable and impactful. The needs of the community identified, understood and segregated are under 5 Thematic Heads:

  • Livelihoods
  • Education
  • Health
  • Rural Development
  • Sanitation
